Overview

A network of picturesque hill-top villages located in the very heart of the province of Asti, the Monferrato district has been home to Italy's best Barbera for centuries. Eschewing the allure of other varietals, the growers here have proven that the district's terroir produces a different type of wine, a Barbera that is far more complex and layered than what is typically found in other parts of Northwestern Italy. An answer to the big, Nebbiolo based wines of Barolo and Barbaresco, this is Barbera designed to age, Barbera designed to impress even the most discerning palate.

Founded in 2001 by the Gaslini-Alberti family, the winery boasts extensive vineyard holdings near some of the district's best villages (including several key plots near Vigliano and Monferrato itself). The wines produced here are exclusively Barbera and a testament to the winery's dedication to quality control. Some of the most expressive and complex Barbera available in the market, they represent some of the best values in the category today.
