Few places in Central Italy are as captivating as the tiny village of San Gimignano.  Perched atop a steep hill, this quaint and picturesque hamlet has become world famous for its medieval towers, and the incredible vistas of the surrounding countryside make this the ideal destination for many a traveler seeking peace and tranquility in a stressful world and the bucolic rusticity of years gone by.

So goes the story of young Massimo Daldin.  The scion of a winemaking family based in Northern Italy’s Trentino region, Massimo fell in love with the village and its surrounding vineyards.  Quickly recognizing the terroir’s potential for creating wines of superb quality, he boldly convinced his family to sell their estate and relocate to the village.  Pursuing further training in winemaking, he came to be known as an expert on the area’s main grape varietals, Vernaccia and Sangiovese.  Founding his own winery in 1996, he has lavished attention on a group of vineyards loosely known as the Ca’del Vispo, and has gained international acclaim for the elegant and rich wines he produces.

Now joined in his pursuit of excellence by his loving wife, Rada, this is an up and coming estate with a lot of promise, a winery that produces some of the best Vernaccia found in the market today.
