Overview

A jewel in the midst of the Tyrrhenian Sea, Sardegna is one of Italy’s most fascinating places. Divided in the center by the Gennargentu mountains, this tranquil and rustic island should really be considered two distinct regions, unique areas that have developed their own dialects and traditions over the past centuries. That divided history also holds true for the island’s winemaking, andgrowers here have taken quiet advantage of each area’s unique microclimate to produce wines ofamazing vitality and character.

Founded in 2001, the estate is nothing short of breathtaking with its vineyards gently tucked into the hillsides and rocky crags that overlook the region’s famous gorges. The bedrock here is predominantly limestone, and the proximity to the sea exposes the vines to hot draughts throughout the growing season. The ensuing wines, all examples of the island’s historicgrapes — Cannonau, Vermentino, Cangulari, and Bovale—are all characterized by body and structure. Exclusively manipulated by hand and produced in extremely limited quantities, these are expressive bottlings that exude an amazing depth only found in the most unique of micro climates, wines that are a testament to the winery’s passion for preserving the land’s rich history.
