La Vrille

Long regarded as one of the region's finest producers, La Vrille is a certified organic winery boasting some 4 hectares of vines.

Overview

Located in the center of the Aosta zone, the tiny hamlets of Verrayes and Chambave produce some of the area's finest and most interesting wines. First among these is Muscat di Chambave, a variant of the aromatic grape totally unlike other wines produced throughout Italy. Other unique, historic varieties like Vuillermin and Petit Rouge also dominate the landscape.

Sitting at 670 meters above sea level, these are formed into a stunning basin along a hillside that offers a different microclimate from other sites in the area. The driving force here is Herve Deguillame, a dynamic vigneron that brings an incredible passion and artistry to his work.
