Overview

The most internationally acclaimed wine producing area of Italy, Chianti Classico boasts a rich history that can be rivaled by few other growing zones. First outlined by the Grand Dukes of Tuscany in 1716, the zone was expanded in 1922 and 1932 to encompass its current nine villages which straddle the provinces of Siena and Florence. The region has become home to some of Italy's finest Sangiovese, complex wines that can compete with the best Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.

Boasting some 50 hectares of vines (mostly planted to Sangiovese) and an additional 60 hectares of Olive trees, the estate has long been considered one of Chianti Classico's top houses. Operated since 1992 by Duccio Corsini (Duke of Castigliano and heir to the Prince of Sismano), the estate became certified organic in 2013 and has subsequently moved to be certified as bio-dynamic.

Rich textured, expressive, and tightly structured, this is what Chianti Classico should be!
