A famous winery with a legendary and well-deserved reputation for its wines, Orsolani has come to be recognized as the progenitor of premium quality Erbaluce as well as its modern ambassador. From its beginnings in 1894 as an inn near Caluso, the estate was the first to produce a serious, complex version of the traditionally light and easy-drinking wine indigenous to Northern Piemonte. It also championed the designation of several cru sites for the varietal and pioneered the creation of a Metodo Classico Spumante in the 1960s.

At the heart of this estate is the dynamic Gian Luigi Orsolani. Under his careful guidance, the winery has grown to some 20 hectares of vines that are spread between the towns of Caluso, Mazze, and San Giorgio. Committed to the combination of their groundbreaking work with Erbaluce, the family has expanded their efforts into the production of Vermouth di Torino. This product is made using a special, century-old recipe and brand (Antonio Parigi).
